Based in New York, Amy K. Baker joins Guy Powers Marketing from the Manhattan-based Strategic Research Institute, where she was Director of Business Development. At the Institute, she was responsible for the assessment of customer needs and the development of sales and marketing initiatives to increase sponsorship sales and revenue. During her tenure, she successfully increased revenue for assigned conferences by 40 percent above plan, along with developing a variety of new marketing initiatives aimed at audience development.

Prior to the Strategic Research Institute, Baker was Territory Sales Manager with Cabletron Systems/Enterasys Networks in New York. There, she successfully grew business in a region that was without representation for 18 months, securing a series of major new accounts, including Princeton University, among other colleges and universities. Before joining Cabletron, Baker was a fashion model, working in Italy, France and the U.S. She holds a BA in psychology from New York University.

Amy is first rate at building relationships and aggressively growing the business. She’s been a turnaround specialist and is especially skilled at channel marketing. We anticipate that she will bring excitement to special events for our clients.
